Bowls News …

Names for games

Please can all bowlers add their names online or on the appropriate sheet for any game you can play. Our Captains and Vice Captains need to know how many bowlers are available at least ten days before each game to confirm details with the other team captains. If you are unable to access online or unable to get to the club, please email the captains who will be happy to help add your name to any game.

There are Mens, Ladies and Mixed games coming up soon in May for which we need more names.

South Warwickshire Competitions

Anyone wanting to enter the South Warwickshire Competitions must please complete and return your form and entry fees (£4 per person per competition) by Friday 2nd May. Please address envelopes for the attention of Helen Ellicott - SW COMPS.

Club Competitions

A reminder to complete and return your Club Competitions form with your payment (£3 per competition) by Friday 9th May. Envelopes are available by the bar. Please put your name and 'Club Comps'.

Coaching Starts Monday 5th May

If you have any friends, relatives or neighbours who wish to try bowling, please bring them along. Sessions start at 6pm.

If you need any help with specific shots/technics/ reading the head etc., please come along and speak to one of the coaches. If a few members want the same coaching technics we can set up a course some other day just for that.

County News

This year Lillington is proud to be supporting Pat Gagg in her year as Ladies County President. The Club will be hosting some of the Warwickshire Womens Bowls Association competitions including their Finals Weekend on 2nd and 3rd August.

An important date for Lillington Ladies for the diary is Thursday 4th September when we will need a team of 24 Lillington ladies to play a team of Warwickshire Ladies. A sheet for this special game will be put up in early July.

Club Kit

A reminder to all bowlers of the Club's dress code for all Club representative matches and competitions.

  • Club Shirt

  • Approved Navy shorts, cropped trousers or trousers

  • White Outerwear or Club Outerwear

  • White Socks

  • Bowling Shoes

Shirts, shorts, trousers and Club outerwear (including Club Caps) are available to purchase from the Club. To place an order for any kit you may require, please contact Helen by email [email protected] by Wednesday 30th April to meet the next order being compiled.

V.E. Day Celebrations Sunday 4th May

Gala and Cream Tea £6. All welcome, friends and family

Don't forget to add your names to the list on the mixed notice board and place your money in an envelope in the bar. Please pay by THIS SUNDAY, 28th April. This will save me quite a lot of phone calls.

We are trialling a pay by BACS scheme for this. If you wish to pay by BACS, these are the things you need to do:-

Then send an email to - [email protected] with your name/s and state if you are bowling or not. We will then add your name to the sheet at the club.
