Your Newsletter is Changing

Phil Sampson has handed over managing the Newsletter to Mark and Caroline Green.

We need to thank Phil for his dedicated hard work in running the Newsletter over quite a few years now. And thank you Mark and Caroline for taking on this role; we wish you well.

The Newsletter provides one of the main methods of passing on important information and news about events and activities to our members. The changeover required a new system being set up which provided an opportunity to try a new secure hosting platform with some additional features. For example, targeted emails to members within particular sections of the club.

You will still be able to unsubscribe at any time, but if you change your email address, please let us know so that our records can be kept up to date.

Kit Order Session

Any members wishing to play in representative matches for Lillington and competitions have another opportunity to come along and view samples of the kit.

Please come along on Wednesday 31st January from 6.00pm until 7.00pm.

The supplier is also now able to supply ladies fitted shorts and trousers which are the same material as the current samples. Come along if you want to see photos of the new styles available.

Orders must be sent by 9th February to guarantee delivery of orders for the start of the season.

Potters Shop

The Potters Roadshow will be coming back to Avon Valley on Thursday 1st February from 11:30 until 6:30.

If you're wanting new woods (for indoor or outdoor use), bowling bags or anything else bowling related, then why not pop in between these hours to browse / buy.

Thank you

Sad News

Jerry Brown, a former bowls member of this Club, sadly passed away at Christmas. His funeral took place in Rugby on Monday 22nd January.

Top Soil

We still have surplus topsoil from the hollow coring carried out by Avonmore when they put the green to bed in the autumn. It is very good for levelling hollows in lawns as there is already grass in the soil. Its free to members and the best time to collect it is any Monday morning before 11:00am when the green team are around. If you can manage it yourself you are welcome to take it any time the club is open. Plastic bags are available.
