SOUTH WARWICKSHIRE

South Warwickshire Competition Entries are now closed.

If you have a form and money to pay in please deliver to the club by Monday. 22nd.

Ladies entry forms for the South Warwickshire fixtures must reach Margaret Boldy by next Friday 26th April.

RAFFLE PRIZES

If anyone has any small unwanted gifts they could donate to the ladies match raffles, donations are now most welcome, Please wrap it if possible and leave them in the top cupboard in the Ladies Changing Room or pass them on to Ladies Captain..Thank you in anticipation.

NAMES FOR GAMES

I am pleased to say we have 24 bowlers for our first game on Saturday. Good luck to our team playing at Coventry Avenue.

We still need names for our Mens game on Saturday 27th, Team selection for this game takes place on Sunday evening. We always need a minimum of 20 men for a Mens game and at least 9-12 Ladies for the Ladies games.

Please add your names to these lists anytime next week for the following - Thursday 2nd and Saturday 4th May.

I have only 3/4 names for the first Ladies game on Wednesday 1st May at Southam. I need at least 6 more by Wednesday please or I will reluctantly cancel.

If you are available for a game …

Please sign up and add your name to the online list (Fixtures - Request To Play inside the Members Area of the website), or on the board in the Clubhouse at least a week before the game. Lack of names means that we have to cancel games. We'd all lose out and that's a shame.

LADIES TOP CLUB

Please can all ladies available for our two County Top Club teams please get your names on the list by Friday 3rd May. You must be available to play on Wednesday 5th June.

SNITTERFIELD GALA

Teams are invited to enter Snitterfield's Annual Mixed Triples Gala.This takes place on Monday 26th August. Forms to enter are on the mixed board in the lobby.

NEW BOWLS KIT

Good News … our new bowls kit has been delivered this week. This will be sorted into individual orders and shipped to the club for distribution as soon as possible.

We hope to start with those bowling in the Men's game on 27th.

Green Opened on 15th April

After a weeks delay due to the very wet weather the green is now open but the continued wet conditions will cause it to be heavy and soft for a while so take care when you start.  Remember for roll-ups and casual games you just need to follow the rink sequence set by the rink allocation discs, check the rink has not been pre-booked by looking on the touchscreen then enter your details onto the clipboard. 

Two New Club Coaches

Congratulations to Linda Kirby and Eric Murphy who have successfully completed the Coach Bowls Level 1 coaching course.  They have worked hard to achieve this qualification so well done to both and we look forward to seeing them sharing their expertise on the green.

Club WhatsApp Group

There is an existing club WhatsApp group which, if your not already a member, you can join by sending your mobile phone number to Helen. This is a helpful quick way of getting messages out to members; e.g. players needed, green closed, or sharing good club news etc.  It is not intended to be used as a discussion group and should not be used as a platform for making inappropriate comments about other members. If you need to reply to a specific message please do so directly to the appropriate person and not the whole group.  The WhatsApp group does not replace current methods of communicating, the club will still provide information via the website, newsletters and club noticeboards.
