Bowls Big Weekend

Request for Helpers Please

Dear Members,

I would like to mention that we’re just a few weeks away from our Bowls Big Weekend Open Day on Sunday 25th May and to successfully manage the event more support is requested please to add names to the “Help List” for any time slot for which you may be available, from receiving visitors; supporting our coaching team on the green; serving refreshments and manning the bar. The “Help List” is located on the club foyer’s Correspondence Board closest to the external door to the green.

We also need help to run this years Tombola to raise funds for Cancer Research UK (in collaboration with BBWE) and again if you are able to provide any Tombola prizes this will be most appreciated - either by contact with me directly as below or left for my attention at the club.

Bowls News

Ladies Fixture Change

The Ladies fixture away to Stoke which was to be on Thursday 12th June will now take place on Saturday 31st May at 2pm. A sheet has been added to the Ladies Board. Please add your names as soon as possible online or on the sheet if you are able to play.

June Fixtures

Fixture sheets for June and July are now on the Boards. There are still games in May for which more bowlers are required. Please add your name to any game you can play.

Once teams are selected please remember to confirm your availability online or by ticking your name on the sheet.

Club Competition Deadline This Week

Don't forget..... the closing date for entries to the Club Competitions is next Friday 9th May.

The first competition to be held will be the Mixed Triples on Sunday 1st June. Please add your name to the competition sheet on the Competition Board.

Mens Cup Matches This Week

Good luck to the Mens teams this coming week who play their Cov 6 Cup Match on Tuesday 6th, two teams both play Kineton teams in the Ivens Cup on Thursday 8th and the Club two fours on Friday 9th. All these games are at home so please come along and support our teams.

Coaching Starts This Monday, 5th May

If you have any friends, relatives or neighbours who wish to try bowling, please bring them along. Sessions start at 6pm. If you need any help with specific shots/technics/ reading the head etc., please come along and speak to one of the coaches.

If a few members want the same coaching technics we can set up a course some other day just for that.

V.E. Day Celebrations are Tomorrow, Sunday 4th May

We look forward to welcoming members who have booked to attend the Gala and Cream Tea to celebrate V.E. Day. Fun starts at 2.00pm.
