Club Rules on Bowls Bags outdoors - a reminder to all bowlers
Bowls Bags and other items of bowling kit can cause a trip hazard or obstruction if left unattended where people walk and congregate. In particular the area under the pavilion should be kept completely free of bowls bags. The Club has a duty to ensure a safe environment and will display the following notice in the changing rooms and in the pavilion which members and visitors must comply with:
For all Club Games and when directed by the captains, bowls bags MUST be left in the changing rooms.
At other times you must ensure that all unattended bags and kit are left safe so they don’t cause a trip hazard or obstruction.
Unattended bags may only be left:
in a changing room
on the bag rack at the back of the pavilion
tucked under or behind a bench
Bags are NOT to be left in the Pavilion.
I know that most members are sensible about where they leave their kit and if everyone is aware of the potential hazards and comply with these rules it should ensure a safe environment around the green for the benefit of everyone.
