Welcome to Season 2025
Here is the Bowls News ...
Friendly Fixtures
There are a number of Mens, Ladies and Mixed games arranged.
The first Mens games is on Saturday 26th April. We need 10 more names for this game. The next games are Thursday 1st May at 6pm and Saturday 3rd May at 2pm. We need 24 men to play in each fixture through the season.
The Ladies first game is 2pm on Thursday 8th May at home. Please support by putting your name down preferably by Saturday 26th April for the games in May. Our first mixed game is next Saturday when we welcome Coventry Avenue.
Please add your name online from 28 days before or on the team sheets two weeks before each game you can play in. All fixtures and events are on the Club website.
Copies of the Fixture Book are available in the Bar area.
Ladies County Top Club
All ladies are requested to put their names down for our 2 County Top Club teams by Friday 9th May. Each team needs a minimum of 12 ladies. The dates set are June 4th, June 18th and July 23rd with the Ladies County Finals Day being held at Lillington on 3rd and 4th August.
South Warwickshire Bowls Association
Just a reminder to Ladies to complete your availability forms to play in the South Warwickshire fixtures. These must be returned to Margaret Boldy by post by Friday 9th May. A copy of the South Warwickshire fixtures are on the Mens and Ladies boards. The South Warwickshire President for 2025 is club member Fred Bannister.
We look forward as a club to be playing South Warwickshire in their President's match on Sunday 13th July. More details to follow but we will need 24 bowlers for this game. All bowlers are also encouraged to enter the South Warwickshire Open competitions. There is a Mens and a Ladies singles competition, but the Pairs, Triples and Rinks can be any combination of players. Forms are available on the boards. Please complete your forms and post with your entry fee (£4 per person/per competition) in the club letterbox by the bar in an envelope SW COMPETITION ENTRY by Saturday 3rd May latest.
We are proud to be hosting the South Warwickshire Competition Finals Day at Lillington on Sunday 14th September.
Club Competitions
Entry forms and all the details and rules are now available in the club for this year's Club Competitions. These can be found on the Competition Board in the lobby. Forms and competition information have been added to the website for reference in the Documents section.
Entry forms and payments must be paid in by Friday 9th May. The Draw will then be displayed on Friday 16th May.
All members are encouraged to participate and support all the competitions. Our Finals Weekend will take place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th September. Some competitions will be played on set dates. These dates are online in the Fixtures schedule.
County and National Competitions
Good luck to all Lillington Bowlers who have entered our County and National Competitions. All draws are now available online. Please make sure you check your play-on/play-by dates and, if you are the challenger, book rinks and, if necessary, a marker for your competitions.
Club Kit
Club kit is required for any Club representative games and competitions. If you want to order any Club Kit (Shirts, Shorts, Trousers and outerwear) please contact Helen Ellicott. Email - [email protected] or call 07753 327552
We have a delivery of Club Caps coming soon. If you would like to purchase a cap (£12 each) please contact Helen.
